“We were determined to win because this is the last game of the season and we want to show what we are capable of. Now we feel confident. It is good that there was no five-set game, because we can save strength for tomorrow’s final, ”comments Kristīne Kramēna, RVS / LU player.

“Today we were stronger in the block, the coaches put a lot of emphasis on the servings, which may not have worked so well at the beginning, but at the end of the game everything was stable and strong, which also allowed us to win today,” reveals RVS / LU player Lāsma Ozola. “After the semi-final game, there are very pleasant feelings, frankly, I expected that there will be a fiercer and more intense fight against RSU / MVS. The girls are in a very good mood and we will win tomorrow, we are ready to take the cup home. ”

In the second semi-final game, the teams of VK “Jelgava” and the University of Latvia / RVS competed for the place in the final. “Jelgava” played a convincing game, but LU / RVS did not intend to give up its place in the final so easily, extended the game to four sets, depriving “Jelgava” of one set. “Jelgava”, with the result 3-1 (25:18, 25:14, 24:26, 25:20), got a ticket to the final. “There was nothing surprising in the game, in the third set we were a little too happy, so LU / RVS took the set,” comments Liene Šimkuse after the game. “We were preparing for the final series seriously, tomorrow we only plan to win, we will give everything away, there is nothing left to lose, it is the end of the season. The final is a volleyball festival! ”
