Bolotnik said he had lost 12 kilograms in the five weeks before the fight and that he had dedicated the victory to his son Miron. “I really wanted to win because of him. He doesn’t understand anything yet, but when he grows up, he will be pleasant and proud of his father. I want to congratulate my family and the whole of Latvia on this victory. It was not easy,” Bolotnik said, thanking his team. and especially highlighting Agri Freija, who took care of her physical fitness.
Bolotnik still holds the title of semi-heavyweight WBO European Champion and is ranked eighth in the WBA world rankings. Earlier, in a conversation with the portal Sportacentrs.com, Bolotnik stated that after the fight against Sepu he will not want a long break and will gladly organize the next fight soon.
