To prison, a young man involved in a fight between Nacional fans in Cundinamarca

For his participation in the fight between Atlético Nacional fans on the Chía-Cota road, in Cundinamarca, Kevin Esneider Quintero, 21, was sent to prison. The decision was made by a guarantee control judge in Bogotá.

This young man was captured by the Police in the proceedings to break up the fight between fans of the green from Antioquia who traveled from Medellín, members of the Los del Sur bar, with fans of the same club who traveled from Bogotá, belonging to the Nación Verdolaga group, to enjoy the match against Patriotas, which was played in Tunja and ended with the victory of National by 2-0.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, “the film evidence, testimonies and the recognition of a victim who was injured, shows that the defendant today, apparently, was present and participated in the fight between followers of the same soccer team”.

In these altercations, five people were injured and were transferred to the Chía Clinic, where two remain hospitalized and the other three were discharged between Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to reports from this health center.

The punctual aggression for which Quintero is attributed responsibilities, would be related to the attack with a brick on a 20-year-old young man, who was lying on the floor. “The investigation shows that the man would have wielded a brick and a large dagger and hit the victim several times and would have caused a serious injury to the abdomen with the knife,” said the prosecution body.

Although, according to the Cota authorities, there would be no more individualizations for these events, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated: “other people who participated in the fight would also have punched and kicked the victim who was transferred to the Chía Clinic (Cundinamarca) by two National Police patrolmen.”

To Quintero He was charged with the crime of attempted aggravated homicide.which were not acquiesced before the judge, for which the judicial process against them will continue.
