This Sunday, the Oakland Athletics held their fourteenth meeting of the Spring Trainingwhere Sean Murphy featured on offense in the win over the San Diego Padres and hitting a monstrous home run.
The receiver of A´s lined up as third bat against the “frailes”facing in his first turns the recently changed and now former teammate Sean Manaeato whom he could connect unstoppably.
It was in the lower part of the fifth inning when he took turns at bat again, with a teammate in circulation and Dinelson Lamet on the hill; on a 1-0 count, Murphy hit a fastball down the center of the plate that sent it flying well behind the left-center-field fence, giving us the monstrous home run that increased the lead for the A´s 3 runs to 0.

The Athletics they ended up winning the match 8-2 and Sean he had a perfect afternoon, hitting three hits in three at-bats, driving in two runs, scoring one and receiving a walk.

The 27-year-old player is signing a spectacular Spring Training with those of Oaklandin which after 10 games played accumulates .520 batting average, 13 hits, six doubles, two home runs and eight RBIs, in addition to .567 on-base percentage and 1.000 de slugging.
As in the previous campaign, it is expected that Murphy be the recipient of the Athleticsand without a doubt it has been reaffirming it during the Spring Training with a performance that, if similar during the coming season, will be of great help to some A´s who are in full reconstruction and looking for a new face of the team.
