Ibiza judo wins more than 20 medals in the Balearic School Championship

The Ibiza Judo Delegation has returned from the Balearic School Championship with a spectacular result: more than twenty medals. The competition for the children’s and cadet categories was held on Saturday, April 2, in Maó, Menorca.

Thus, the Ibizan delegation had a very good performance and won 23 medals, of which 10 were bronze, eight silver and five gold, all in the women’s category (four children and one cadet).


The five Balearic champions who obtained the pass to the national final and who will represent the island in the Spanish championship to be held in Pamplona on April 30 and May 1 are Iria Alvarez (child -36kg), Dina Hamri (infant -40kg), Maria Vicent (infant -44kg), Ingrid Soriano (child -52kg) and Elena Ramon (cadets -52kg).
