Californian teams will fight for the National League West

The Opening Day of the 2022 season of the Big leagues is yet to come and the NL West could offer as many as two teams in the postseason.

The NL West crown belongs to the San Francisco Giantswho won one more game than the Dodgers in the 2021 regular season although they were eliminated by them after five games in the Division Series of the National League. In addition, they improved their bullpen by adding the left-handed pitcher Carlos Rodon.

Los Angeles infield Dodgers The 2022 campaign will be something to fear with the addition of Freddie Freeman, as they will have four MVP winners on their roster. Management trusts the manager’s work Dave Roberts and extended his contract until 2025 with the goal of landing another Commissioner’s Trophy in that time. Also, his bullpen will look different since they won’t have Max Scherzer, Kenley Jansen or Joe Kelly, but added Craig Kimbrel and Enrike Sevilya.

The San Diegos Fatherswho have broken the .500 mark in only one of the past 11 seasons, upgraded their bullpen with the addition of starter Sean Manaea and their infield with first baseman Luke You ahead of the 2022 season. However, the drop in Fernando Tatis Jr. for the first two months of the season could complicate the situation for the Padres.

The bottom of the division has been the place of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the past two seasons, however, franchise management hopes that Kettle Marte can reverse the situation in his sixth season with the team. The team has announced right-hander Madison Bumgarner as the starter for Opening Day.

The Colorados Rockies they changed their general manager at the end of the 2021 season and after the strike, they signed Kris Bryant, but they will hardly be able to do anything in a division as competitive as the NL West.
