Suncheon City Hosts 2022 Korea Open Badminton Championship: No. 1 Broadcasting

The Korea Open, which started in 1991, is Korea’s representative major-level international competition and is classified as a World Tour Super 500 by the International Badminton Federation (BWF), and is broadcast live around the world through the BWF.

As this Korea Open Badminton Championship is held for the first time in three years since it was held in Incheon in 2019, about 650 players with the best skills from 24 countries compete for their skills.

Korean badminton legend Lee Yong-dae, women’s singles signboard Ahn Se-young, women’s doubles Lee So-hee-Shin Seung-chan, Kim So-young-Gong Hee-yong, and other well-known players are in attendance. , India’s Badminton hero and bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Pusala Sindhu (India) will participate.

In particular, Ahn Se-young, a leading female badminton player in Korea, is aiming to win the Korea Open for the first time in her life as she ranks 4th in the world rankings. She last March she won her silver medal at the All-England Open.

Lee Yong-dae, a legend of Korean badminton and 6-time winner of the men’s doubles at the Korea Open badminton tournament, teamed up with Kim Jae-hyun to challenge the record of winning the Korean Open 7 times.
