After just one season at Auburn, Jabari Smith is already leaving the NCAA and turning to the NBA. Via a video posted on his university’s twitter account, the strong winger announces that he is registering for the 2022 Draft.
Although “freshman”, the young power forward has been the spearhead of the Tigers this season with 16.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2 assists on average. Under his leadership, the former university of Charles Barkley had a huge regular season (27-5, 15-3 in the SEC conference), before experiencing a disappointing end to the course during the NCAA tournament with a second-round loss against Miami.
Jabari Smith is expected in the Top 5 of the next Draft, and he is even among the favorites, with Paolo Banchero or Chet Holmgren, to be the first choice.
