Last weekend, the Amicale laïque badminton club organized the adult Brittany championships at the Salle de la Châtaigneraie. 180 players were registered, including eight from Ploemeur.
Élise Henry, a badminton player from Ploemeur, won the mixed doubles in the regional category, with Quentin Naour, from Trégunc. She also finished second on the podium in the regional women’s doubles category, with Mathilde Bourrillon, from Trégunc. Aligned in mixed doubles in the departmental category, Maëla Maizier and Thibault Barret lost narrowly in the final, 19 against 21 in 3e set. The balance sheet remains positive for the club, with a title of champion of Brittany and two titles of vice-champion.
At the same time as the competition, around ten referees in training took their final exam. Among them, two young ploemeuroises, Laurine Hypousteguy and Louann Français, who brilliantly obtained their certification. The next sporting events will take place on Sunday, with the Regional Youth Trophy, and Saturday, April 23, with the last day of pre-national interclubs.
