Great weekend for Alto Aragonese judo – Sports

Last Saturday, the 2nd Phase of the Aragon Championship in the cadet and children’s category took place in San Mateo del Gállego, where the members of the team that will represent Aragón in the Spanish Championship to be held in Pamplona on April 30 and May 1.

The Binéfar Judo Club was represented by 16 athletes from the Judo Club who obtained magnificent results after achieving a total of 15 medals: 7 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals, thus managing to directly classify 8 of their judokas waiting for know the definitive composition of the expedition. Excellent results for Antonio Clager’s team, to which the extraordinary work carried out in the Technification Classroom of the IES Sierra de San Quílez by the hand of its technician Raúl Clemente within the FAJYDA Technification program has undoubtedly contributed. .

In the cadet category they managed to climb to the top of the podium, after clearly prevailing over all their rivals, Alejandra Pérez in -52kg, Yesenia Padilla in -57kg, Alba Sánchez in -63kg, Hugo Terés in -66kg and Raúl Arilla in -81kg, achieving her classification, like Mama Coulibaly in +70kg who already had a direct classification for having been a medalist last season having obtained the bronze in the last Spanish Championship that took place in December of last year; while Sandra Naval in -63kg and Sandro Plà in -60kg. they obtained a bronze medal and Inés Palacin was 5th in -57kg.

In the children’s category, Daniela Terés in -44kg and Ballalo Coulibaly in +63kg. achieved their classification by winning the gold in their categories, while Martina Aurin in -52kg, Sira Diallo in -57kg, Sara Rico in -63kg and Sogona Magassa in +63kg won the silver medal and Sofia Cafferata and Hector Cardil won the bronze.

And finally, in the absolute category, Sergio García shone in the Absolute Spain Cup A in Marín (Pontevedra) obtaining a silver medal in the -81kg category, while his partner Moussa Macalou in -73kg suffered an injury after overcoming 3 rounds that prevented him from continue the competition. Both are enjoying a scholarship at the High Performance Center in Madrid.

On the part of the Ibón Club, twenty-four children and cadet competitors have participated. The Ibón cadets who have managed to get on the podium have been Angie Guerrero gold, silver for Javier Benedi, David Marí, Clara Barrio and Ada Torralba and bronzes were Jon García, Nerea Jubero, Alberto Roig and Martina Vives. Over the weekend, the Spanish Cup for veterans was held in Vitoria and the 2nd Phase of the Aragon Championship for children and cadets, both events being attended by judokas from the Judo Samurai School. The veteran judokas came to the Basque Country: Pablo Bitrián, Jesús Ferrando, Iván Ruiz and Raúl Aso, all of them had a good competition and above all they enjoyed the good atmosphere that there is in the Veterans competitions. Raúl Aso category M4 -60kg 2nd place Pablo Bitrián category M2 -81kg 3rd place Jesús Ferrando category M3 -90kg 3rd place Iván Ruiz category M3 -100kg 7th place.

Huesca judokas participated in the Aragon Championship in the children’s and cadet categories: Javier Barrero, Joaquín Aníes, Elías Garzo and Luis Banzo. After the draw for the matches was made, the competition began and the Samurai judokas had a successful participation with the following final results: Children’s category: Javier Barrero -55kg 1st place Joaquín Aníes -66kg 3rd place Cadet category: Elías Garzo -50kg 2nd place Luis Banzo -60kg 7th place.
