The Women’s Seniors 1 of Basket Comminges Salies-du-Salat continue their journey in the Pre-national Occitanie League.
Brilliantly qualified for the accession pool at the end of the first phase, the Salisiennes players rub shoulders with the very best teams in the Pyrenees division. The players of Samir Sebai, Sofian Sebai and Véronique Caumont are in the 8th stage in the play-offs.
Intractable at home with 3 wins – against Auch, Montech and Cunac-Lescure, the girls from Comminges came home empty-handed from their five trips. They also lost in the play-off: to Cunac-Lescure, Ossun Caraman and Auch.
This weekend, the girls made a perilous trip to Tarn-et-Garonne, more specifically to the Montes Basket-Ball hall, where it is always very difficult to come and compete with the locals.
Left with only 7 players on the match sheet, with one injured in the first part of the match, the BCSS team led, resisted, to finally lose 14 points (60 to 74).
The BCSS is currently ranked 5th in the upper pool with 11 pts.
If they can no longer, mathematically, join the leader Ossunois (14 pts) the girls of Salies-du-Salat can always dream of grabbing second place. But the BCSS no longer quite has its destiny in hand: First it will have to win during the last two days at home (Ossun on April 10 and Caraman on April 24); then it will be necessary to count on missteps from opponents who are ahead of him in the standings.
