231 days to go before Germany will start the 2022 World Cup against Japan.
The previous regulations stipulate that the team must have arrived five days in advance. Means: The national team should arrive in Qatar on November 19th. That is why the plan is to go to a short training camp in Dubai from November 14th, as already reported by Sport BILD.
According to BILD information, the decision in this regard has now been made. National coach Hansi Flick (57) gets his short training camp. From the 14th to the 17th, the DFB entourage will set up camp at The Meydan Hotel in Dubai.
There should be a team spirit that carries the team through the tournament. Hansi Flick had had good experiences with it even before the 2020 Champions League tournament with FC Bayern in Lisbon: the Munich team spent four days preparing for the final tournament in Lagos in the Algarve. Even today, everyone involved agrees: It was the cornerstone for victory in the premier class.

The team will train around the DFB stars Manuel Neuer (36), Thomas Müller (32) and Joshua Kimmich (27) at the NAS Sports Complex training center in Dubai. A state-of-the-art training center that offers all imaginable training options, from a football stadium to an athletics stadium and from a swimming pool to a weight training hall. BVB also trained there in the 2016 winter training camp.
As part of this training camp, the DFB team is also looking for a friendly opponent for November 16th. Originally, those responsible had planned a game against Japan. However, as the two teams now face each other in the group, this is no longer an option. “We wanted to play a friendly game against Japan, of course that’s flat now,” announced Flick after the draw on ARD.
In winter 2022, Flick wants to rekindle the fire in advance – so that he can lift the World Cup trophy in Doha on December 18th!
