Israil Dakayev, the Tarbais on loan and qualified with Rodez for France

Sunday March 20 was held in Cahors (Lot) the regional championship by senior teams 1st division of the Occitanie league. 13 teams were present. The first two qualified for the French championship. Israil Dakayev, from Tarbes Pyrénées Judo, fought in – 81kg, under the banner of Judo Rodez Aveyron where he is currently on loan.

The JRA wins its quarter-final against Jita Kyoei Judo 34 by 4 wins to 1. In the semi-final, they pass the obstacle of Toulouse Balma on the score of 3 to 2. In the final, Rodez is opposed to Montpellier Judo Olympic . In a very close match where Montpellier led 1 to 0, Israil, outclassed in – 90kg, made a huge fight and won by ippon, thus putting the two teams equal.

After the victory of the Héraultais in +90kg, Maxime Labarthe (-66kg) then led, managed to reverse the trend by scoring a magnificent ippon. Clément Caors, captain of the team, was quick to give victory to JRA thanks to a nice ippon on counter.

Israil Dakayev, who won his three fights, and the JRA, finish first and are therefore champions of Occitania. They will defend the colors of the Aveyron club during the French 1st division championship at the Grand Dôme in Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne) on May 28.

The young Tarbes score points. Note that on March 20, the same day, took place at the Maison des Arts-Martiaux in Tarbes the internship for youngest, minimal and cadets 65 organized by the Judo Committee of the Hautes-Pyrénées.

Eight youngest, two youngest and three youngest, i.e. thirteen judokas from Tarbes Pyrénées Judo, were able to train on technical sessions standing and on the ground as well as fights scheduled for the morning.

Note that the Tarbes have scored points for the classification of the Departmental Cup.
