Under the bar from the age of 12
Originally from Villèle, it was during her childhood that our high-level sportswoman began in the field of sport by devoting herself to athletics, judo and weightlifting. It is between these three disciplines that she decided without hesitation to immerse herself body and soul in weightlifting. Seduced by its technical aspect, adrenaline and performance, it was pure evidence for Neige-Line EDMOND who then trained in the Cultural Weightlifting Club of trainer Jean-Luc Richard, at the gymnasium of the Center de Saint -Paul. A decision that paid off, because it was at the age of 12 that the Saint-Pauloise won her first title. There follows a long career filled with victory, alongside her father, to whom she has a very special affection, because her career, it is to him that she owes it, she confides to us.
nothing stops it
French Champion, European Masters Champion and even World Weightlifting Champion, our top sportsman carries a fine track record on his shoulders. It was after the loss of her late little brother and her mother that the Champion rested for two years. After this crushing blow, Neige-Line EDMOND found the strength to return to her domain, in order to recover yet another additional title in tribute to his loved ones. Much more than a sport, it’s a passion that drives her deep inside and she decides not to let herself be defeated.
Never alone
The 43-year-old weightlifting champion mother is very well supported, in addition to being closely coached by her daughter Kamelle EDMOND and her companion, she also has the unwavering support of Didier LEROUX, National Technical Director of the French Federation of Weightlifting – Bodybuilding and the President of the Regional Weightlifting Committee, Leonus ADOLPHE. She wholeheartedly thanks her daughters, her son, her companion, as well as her colleagues who have always been behind her to support her.
The City of Saint-Paul, an active and sporting city and labeled Terre de Jeux 2024, applauds the return of the Champion, Neige-Line EDMOND, the queen of Europe in weightlifting.
