On Thursday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m., at Club Atlético Adelante, the arrival ceremony of the South American Youth Games torch was held. It was attended by the Secretary of Sports of the Province of Santa Fe, Florencia Molinero; the Provincial Director of Clubs, Kumei Fernández; the Mayor of Reconquest, Amadeo Enrique Vallejos; and athletes from Santa Fe who will compete in different disciplines at the South American Games in Rosario 2022.
The Torch made a tour of posts that local athletes will carry out, which was delivered to the authorities present.
Through the studies of ReconquistaHOY, the secretary of Sports of the province, Florencia Molinero; León Driussi and Mateo Jara, who are the only athletes from the north of Santa Fe and will represent the country in the sports competition. Driussi in Swimming (400 and 1500 meters) and Jara in the Sub 19 Badminton Category. Both were very happy to participate.
The Games will be televised by TyC Sports.

III SOUTH AMERICAN YOUTH GAMES
This edition of the South American Games will be held in the province of Santa Fe, between April 28 and May 8, with the participation of 2,500 athletes from 15 countries who will compete in a program of 26 sports. It should be remembered that last Saturday the flame of the continental contest was lit in Santiago de Chile, the previous venue in 2017, and this Monday it was received in Rosario, where a tour of various locations in our province will begin.
The South American Youth Games are a multi-discipline event that is reserved for athletes from 14 to 18 years old. In addition to sports, they have educational and cultural programs that include different activities for the participants.
The particularity will be that the entire contest will take place in Parque Independencia, where the Parque Único Sudamericano, the Main Awards Center and the Fan Fest will be, where the public will be able to enjoy the Gastronomic Plaza, pre-sports recreation spaces, as well as an E-Sports tent (electronic games) and a tourist and cultural sector.
The sports that will be part of Rosario 2022 are: athletics, badminton, 3×3 basketball, cycling, beach handball, boxing, climbing, fencing, futsal, artistic gymnastics, hockey 5, judo, karate, weightlifting, Olympic wrestling, swimming , figure skating, speed skating, rugby 7, skateboarding, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, archery, triathlon and beach volleyball.
