The Chicago hockey players in the NHL lost to Seattle 0: 2 and lost the sixth game in a row. For the fifth time in a row, New Jersey lost, which was not enough for Montreal. Toronto, on the other hand, succeeded in beating Dallas 4: 3 in overtime thanks to two goals by Austro Matthews.
Seattle overshot Chicago 17: 3 in the first period, but did not score a goal until 47 seconds after the second half. The score was opened by Alexander Wennberg. Matthews helped Toronto with two goals in a winning game against Dallas and confirmed his position as the top scorer in the NHL. In the club tables, Matthews beat Rick Vaive, who scored 54 goals in the 1981/1982 season.
