The qualifications for the A2 Italian Judo Cup have ended. Athletes from the Prato Academy also climbed onto the tatami in Piombino. Starting with Filippo Scarselli and Diletta Martinasso, who climbed to the top step of the podium in the -73 kg and -57 kg categories respectively. Jacopo Conti finished second among -60 kg despite not being able to enter the final phase, while Lorenzo Grava obtained a bronze between -81 kg. Tommaso Buti and Lorenzo Rinaldi also participated in the expedition. The club’s attention also shifts to two projects underway. The most important is the third edition of the “Memorial Bruno Barni”, which on May 1st will bring hundreds of very young judoka from all over Tuscany to the Estraforum in Maliseti. And to open the dances the day before will be a training session with Tatsuto Shima, Japanese vice university champion in 2012 and former coach of the Hungarian national team.
