Sakina Ouzraoui Diki and Anouar Aït El Hadj want to prove that young people from the neighborhoods of Brussels can succeed in Anderlecht.
They try to snatch the ball from their hands. However, it is with their feet that Sakina Ouzraoui Diki (20) and Anouar Aït El Hadj (19) shine in the jersey of Anderlecht. A player, a player but a common origin: Morocco and the popular districts of Brussels. Two children with a similar journey which saw them go from the agora to the Sporting first team. Pioneers of their kind. Anderlecht wanted to highlight them in the new episode of the documentary Mauvewhich will air on Friday evening on Voo and Telenet.
“It was a great meeting”, smiles Aït El Hadj. The two Mauves have forged links. “We follow each other on the networkshe continues. And we react when the other does a good deed.”
For a “one against one”, we will have to wait a little longer. “I’m scared… for her”jokes the player. “I have technique but so does he”she adds. “I don’t want to end his career or him mine.”
The meeting was symbolically set at the cultural center of Anderlecht, a few meters from the agora now bearing the name of Sakina Ouzraoui Diki.
Being here is a reminder that these street lots were crucial to your development…
