DKC doubles with Kweekel and Tirtosentono

You the news, we a little bit!

Kweekel and Tirtosentono left a few seasons ago, after which it turned out to be difficult for Dunlop DKC to really compete for the main prizes. So they now return together to their old love from The Hague.

Kweekel is now a seasoned player with several NK singles finals to his name, he is also excellent in doubles and mixed doubles. During the last edition of the Dutch Championships, he managed to conquer the 2nd place together with Dunlop DKC player Thomas Wijers. After Caljouw, who also competes for Dunlop DKC, Kweekel is second in the national ranking and has consistently been in the top 100 of the world rankings in recent seasons (2022 World Cup 14: 95th).

Tirtosentono is a child of the club and has since grown from top talent to absolute top player in the women’s doubles (world ranking 2022 World Cup 14: 48th) and mixed doubles (world ranking 2022 World Cup 14: 214th). At the last Dutch championships she achieved a nice 2nd place in the women’s doubles. Internationally, Tirtosentono is mainly working in the women’s doubles with the ultimate goal of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

With these acquisitions, deputy chairman of the Technical Committee Jelle de Keijzer is doing a double take. “For Dunlop DKC, continuity in general and bonding with our club and our fans is very important. With these players we are fulfilling both goals and we are taking a shot at the championship in the Dutch Eredivisie. We are looking forward to a great season in which we together with our top players, give our up-and-coming talents the time and inspiration to take those last steps to the top.”
