On the weekend coming to an end, Riccione hosted the two days of competitions of the Gran Prix Emilia Romagna Esordienti B of judo, valid for the Italy Trophy. The event saw participations from all over Italy, including also some athletes of the Judo Olimpic Asti asd
Two astigiani judocas were engaged on Saturday: Jacopo Testore in the -38 kg category he was unfortunately eliminated in the first round, while Vittorio Cavagnawho competed in the -42 kg category, after losing the first fight was rescued by winning the two fights well, but his run for the podium had to stop with the defeat in the next fight.
The women’s categories competed on Sunday. In the morning Ginevra Aloiseathlete of the Judo Olimpic Asti asd engaged in the -42 kg category, was classified in fifth position.
Ginevra – who won the first fight and lost the second by measure, after a hard-fought confrontation – was fished out and won the next match at the golden score, reaching the final for the bronco medal which, unfortunately, saw it defeat.
Overall good performance of the three astigiani judokas at their first experience in a national competition ranking with a very high technical level. Perhaps with a little more experience the results could have been different, but however, society and teachers expressed satisfaction with the results.
