Nagelsmann is firmly in the saddle at FC Bayern

FC Bayern has to worry about progressing in the Champions League. A premature end against FC Villarreal in the premier class would be a real disaster for Munich. According to current media reports, Julian Nagelsmann would have nothing to fear if the CL were eliminated.

The surprising 1-0 defeat against Villarreal recently caused a lot of unrest on Säbener Straße. As “SPORT1” reports, the defeat also led to upsets within the management team of the German record champions. Oliver Kahn publicly criticized the Bayern stars via Twitter and emphasized that “the team missed everything that makes them so strong.”

Julian Nagelsmann, meanwhile, was self-critical and explained that he didn’t have his best day on Wednesday either.

Nagelsmann enjoys unlimited trust

According to “SPORT1” information, Nagelsmann is not available at FCB. Even in the event of a possible CL exit, he is firmly in the saddle and does not have to worry about his coaching job. According to the TV station, the 34-year-old “continues to enjoy the unlimited trust of the bosses.”

One reason why Nagelsmann is not questioned at Bayern: Hasan Salihamidzic & Co. know that the squad no longer has the quality across the board as it did in the 2020 sextuple season under Hansi Flick.

In addition, Nagelsmann has had little opportunity to implement his own ideas when it comes to transfers. In the past two periods of change, only one “Nagelsmann player” was signed in Marcel Sabitzer. Next summer, the FCB coach will get two players he absolutely wants in Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui. Above all, Mazraoui should enable Nagelsmann to bet much more often on his preferred chain of three.
