This week, the Principality of Monaco welcomes the elite of men’s tennis with the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters 2022.
Until April 17, 2022, the tournament organized by the Monegasque Company for the Exploitation of the Tennis Tournament (SMETT) takes place on the grounds of the Monte-Carlo Country Club.
For the first Masters 1000 of the season on clay, the tournament offers a high level with the presence of Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Cameron Norrie, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Taylor Fritz, Hubert Hurkacz,… Two TOP 5 ATP players will however be absent: Daniil Medvedev and Rafael Nadal.
The tournament will also be attractive with the presence of Stan Wawrinka or even of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who recently announced that he would end his playing career in a few weeks at Roland-Garros.

Regarding the financial allocation, the amounts distributed to players in the singles table have returned to a level close to those before the health crisis. For this 2022 edition, the winner of the Monaco tournament will pocket a check for 836,335 euros. In 2019, Fabio Fognini lifted the trophy and pocketed €958,055.
