In Lignano and Teplice the Italy of judo at the top

Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April a Lignano Sabbiadoro was held in the Bella Italia Village European Cup for the junior of judo, where several Italian athletes competed at home, in addition to the European Cup for i cadets a Teplicein the Czech Republic.

In Rome on Sunday 10th there was the 2nd Italy Open of MMA.

Lignano Junior European Cup

On Saturday the heaviest categories competed: the women’s -63, -70, -78 and -57 kg categories, while the lighter men’s ones -60, -66 and -73 kg.
Sunday was the turn of the lighter women’s categories: -44, -48 and -57 and the heavier men’s categories: -81, -90, -100 and +100 kg.

Italy was also present with 36 athletes and 53 athletes, it was the largest national team.

Even with 21 cadets and 21 cadets, Italy has conquered the record in the medal table (4-4-4-3-2), ahead of Ukraine (2-2-3-1-0) and the Netherlands (2- 1-0-2-4) on 29 nations.

I thank the International Judo Federation, IJF, for the photo of the podium in the -73 kg category, where on the top step of the podium is the Italian judoka Luigi Centracchio, bronze medalist at the Junior World Championships in Olbia last year.
