KARATE / AT THE NATIONAL KADETTI KUMITE ‘, GOLD AND BRONZE FOR PUGLIA – BariNrete

Just finished in Rome the Cadet National Championships of kàta and kumité which involved 272 teams from all over Italy, including the islands, and recorded the record registration of 667 athletes divided into 13 weight categories.

From the Pala Pellicone, on Lido di Ostia, good news arrives in the kumitè for Puglia. Valentino Panico won the Italian title in the 63 kg category by beating 2-1 in the final against the Salerno-born Korotenko coached by Califano, a coach in the youth team.

Valentino Panico, who competes with the colors of the Teodoro Sports Center in Monteparano of maestro Domenico Teodoro, was followed as a coach by his father Antonio Panico who had the satisfaction of guiding him to conquer the Italian title.

Another beautiful medal comes from Daniel Di Bari who wins a bronze in the 57 kg but almost missed the chance to play for gold by losing 1-0 against Carraresi, of maestro Talarico, technical director of the youth team. Daniel, also trained by his father Fabio, was led in the race by Daniele Simmi, former European champion.
