Sports and the pandemic
Sport, and more so those that are played in closed spaces, was one of the activities that was most affected by the pandemic restrictions. Gradually, however, the same develop normally again: “We were unemployed for a year and a half with the issue of the pandemic. After a year and a half we resumed with protocols, as appropriate, and with fewer children. Today, we are in full activity in three shifts, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., children from 8 years old to older. Before the pandemic we had four schedules where we had 70 players. Later, with the issue of the pandemic, we reduced everything that was older until the activity was lifted. There we go down to a quota of 8 players per turn. And as the health issue improved a little, we added a little more boys. Today we are with fourteen boys inside the room, on each shift. There is no more space because of the space and the number of tables there are, but the idea is, in the future, to be able to have more hours better so that more children can come”, added Ulloa.
