Judo Gattinara in tournaments

The Gattinara Judo youth teams have returned loaded with medals from the last tournaments, in Turin and Genoa.
With the conquest of four golds and a bronze in the regional Randori Day, held in Leinì, in the province of Turin, the exit of the youth teams of the Gattinarese team at the Regional Trophy, well organized by the Piedmont Regional Judo Committee, was more than profitable. On the way out of the pandemic, the six members of the Città del Vino society measured themselves in the beautiful setting of the Turin Palasport. The flattering results make us think of the goodness of the work done so far and for the future. Undefeated, with all the matches won for Ippon, Gabriel Ginepro, Michele De Cata and Luca Battistella. First also Morgan Ginepro who, despite a lost match, however, won in the ranking with judo points. Less performing but gritty Rachele Rossi, third classified. Good experience of the Beginners A class, first group of agonists, who did not win medals but showed good determination and a positive attitude.

At the City of Colombo Trophy, held in Genoa, Elia Rizzi was awarded the gold medal. The young athlete from Gattina walked the tatami of the suggestive RDS Stadium in Lungo Canepa, together with the rest of the team, also composed of Elena De Lucia, Alessandro Rossetti and Artiom Roggero. Beyond the medal actually won, Elia’s gold, the most beautiful result is to have brought four boys to the Ligurian capital, who have given an excellent test of their abilities despite the long period of detention due to the pandemic. To get the first place, Rizzi closed all matches for Ippon, leaving no doubts about his qualities, even if there is still something to fine-tune. The rest of the Gattinarese team has yet to enter into the perspective of the race and above all believe in their abilities.
