According to Okcheon-gun on the 14th, the gym will be built with one basement floor and three above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 5,200㎡.
The total project cost is 14 billion won, including 4.2 billion won from the government and 4.9 billion won from the provincial budget.
The military has recently selected the winning design of the design competition.
A military official said, “It was evaluated that it harmonizes well with the surrounding environment of the Perfume Park, where the gym will be located, and the internal space composition in consideration of the facility’s functions is excellent.”
Okcheon-gun will finish the basic and detailed design services by the end of the year and start construction next year. Completion is targeted for 2025.
A military official said, “We will continue to expand indoor sports facilities to improve the residents’ physical strength and quality of life.”
