Magou Doucouré and Tanya Romanenko shone on the Olympia stage this Thursday evening, but with their words, not their feet. The Stade de Reims defenders won the final of the women’s D1 eloquence contest. The captain of Soyaux Siga Tandia and the Quebecer Marie Levasseur (Fleury) complete the podium of this second edition, which saw ten players succeed one another.

The jury was made up of Brigitte Henriques (president of the CNOSF), Canal + journalist Hervé Mathoux, Thierry Cheleman (sports director of the encrypted channel) and former internationals Laura Georges and Jessica Houara-d’Hommeaux. They were seduced by Magou Doucouré’s plea on racism, of which she was the victim during a match in Lens, at the start of 2022. Tanya Romanenko spoke of the role of the mind in a challenge, and more specifically that of war in Ukraine, his native country. They succeed Alice Benoît in the prize list, at Soyaux last year and today at Sassuolo.
Finally a trophy that does not only reward attackers.
