In both Charentes, the track season is off to a slow start. After Angoulême on April 13 – where G2A sprinter Nicolas Grimault notably achieved 10”88 over 100 meters – it is the turn of La Rochelle and Aunis Athlétisme to organize a spring meeting this Saturday April 23. at the Bouffenie stadium in La Rochelle (from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.). The opportunity for the Aunisiens, who spent Easter on an internship in Oléron, to calibrate themselves. On Sunday May 1, the Cognac meeting will also serve as a run-in for the athletes, with a stage that will welcome some of the best athletes from New Aquitaine.

A week later, still in Cognac, Grand Angoulême Athlétisme (National 1B) but also Athlétisme Sud 17, Aunis Athlétisme and Cognac AC, all in National 2, will do battle during the first round of national Interclubs . Covid obliges, the last edition of the flagship team athletics competition dates back to 2019. The G2A, which meets all this weekend for two days of cohesion, will seek to obtain the best total of points in the first round in order to qualify for the high hen of N1B. The other clubs of the two Charentes of N2 will aim for the final of New Aquitaine.
