The international Italian Open of ju jitsu speaks Sicilian, which took place at the Palaghiaccio in Catania, which hosted over 300 athletes from 32 clubs from all over Italy and also from abroad (three clubs from Belgium, Poland and Slovenia).
In fact, three island clubs dominated the general classification of the event won by Il Dojo over Dai-Ki and Budokan.
It is the first international open organized in Sicily thanks to the work of Luigi Sabatino, who is part of the national commission of Fijlkam, and of the Daiki Dojo of Catania with the support of the regional committee of the Italian judo-fight karate martial arts federation.
Present the national commission of ju jitsu with the president Antonio Amorosi and his representatives in the competitive field Carlo Cariola, referee Stefania Bavoso and technician Giuliano Spadoni.
The general classification is Sicilian domain
The Sicilian clubs have made the lion’s share in the general classification with many athletes protagonists in the different categories and specialties foreseen in the Italian Open. The Dojo, a Catania club, won the event with 308 points overall, overtaking another Etna club, the Dai-Ki Dojo, which scored 252 points.
Third place for the Budokan Palermo 224 points. Fourth place for the Apulian of the Pro Team at 137, fifth for the Umbrians of the La Dolce Arte Club (126). In the top ten also Mars Jitsu of Palermo, Black Belt School Catania, then Popular de Cuba, and the Palermitans of Od Fitness.
In the DuoShow he won The Dojo with 210 points ahead of the Od Fitness 40 and Shin Kai Club 20. In the DuoSystem, the Dojo is first with 98 points, followed by the Black Belt School Catania (54 points) and the Dai-Ki Dojo Catania ( 48).
The Fighting S, saw the success of Asd Budokan with 224 points in front of the Dai-Ki Dojo Catania 204, then Pro Team at 129.

After the Italian championship in December, in fact, this is the second major appointment as regards competitive jujitsu, the registrations closed on March 31, making the great turnout that we all hoped for with the presence of three foreign teams of great value.
