The two judokas of the Judo Club Littoral de Narbonne fought the 60 best judokas in the country: Laurie ranks 5th and Dorian 3rd which allows him to join the French team with registration on the ministerial list.
On April 2 and 3, Dorian and Laurie Arnaud qualified for the French Cadet 1st division championship at the National Judo Institute in Paris. Their efforts are rewarded as they train five times a week for Dorian and twice for Laurie. They are actively preparing for the next events: the European Judo Cup 2022 which will take place from April 23 to 25 in Strasbourg then in early May in Coimbra in Portugal and finally in Poland if events allow.
It is worth highlighting the permanent commitment of the head trainer Jean-Luc Fronty helped by David Arnaud who is none other than the father of Laurie and Dorian. The mother is not left out since administrator of the departmental committee and responsible for the medical commission. The Judo Club du Littoral is an association with around a hundred members. The club counts among its active members Estelle Gaspart double world champion of Jujitsu!

René Féliu the president of the departmental committee of Aude for Judo and Jiujitsu came to encourage and support his champions by contributing financially to the very expensive competition trips each weekend. He announced that with the help of the department, clubs can accommodate Ukrainians who would like to train and train for free without having to pay for a license. .
Jacques Pairo, adjoint to the mayor responsible for sports, wished to congratulate the two champions for their performances and their rankings and also for superbly representing the city of Narbonne and their club during their qualifying trips to Dijon, Aix-en-Provence, Clermont-Ferrand, Limoge, Toulouse, Marseille, Strasbourg, Paris… national influence for Narbonne and its young people. He thanked the educators and the president for their commitment and availability, emphasizing the quality of the training provided.
In conclusion, the “educators” recalled the values of judo: politeness, courage, friendship, self-control, sincerity, modesty, honor and respect…. Values somewhat abused currently hoping that the city will again organize a sports festival honoring all the young champions of the Narbonnais clubs.
