Basketball and Handball from the UV to the National University.
After concluding four days, at the BUAP-2022 Regional Universiade, the men’s basketball and women’s softball teams join the contingent of the Halcones de la Universidad Veracruzana, who will be at the National Universiade to be held next May, organized by the Universidad Autonomous City of Ciudad Juarez, UACJ-2022.
In the Universiade of the BUAP, Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla, which continues its course and in which delegations from the States of Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Oaxaca, Puebla and Veracruz participate, seeded in Region VII of the National Sports Council of Education CONDDE.
The Halcones-UV, a men’s basketball team, led by head coach, Néstor Hernández Flores, qualified for the National tournament, defeating the hosts 72-49; later, 68-43 to the Benito Juárez of Oaxaca and won 88-39 to the University of Tlaxcala, although they lost to UPAEP.

With regard to the women’s softball team, the Halcones of the Universidad Veracruzana, they also entered the national fair in this sport. Despite the defeat against Gavilanes of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca; they closed with a 9-4 victory over the representation of wolves from the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla.
As the selection fair continued in Puebla, this Thursday the Beach Volleyball tournament was launched for both branches, as well as 3 x 3 basketball. The Halcones-UV table tennis and archery selection teams arrived in Puebla , to find your pass to the National Universiade. As far as chess is concerned, Jordi Milburgo Carrera Puig, Mayré Benítez Portilla and Estrella Azucena Fuentes Flores qualified for the highest annual student event, by the UV.

Within beach volleyball, the feathered teams, from the men’s branch, opened with a victory over the Gavilanes of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca. As for the women’s team, it succumbed to the Oaxacans.
