He finished his trip by bus and arrived in Lille on Tuesday morning after two weeks of travel (including several days stuck at the Polish border). This group is the five players of the national handicap team of Ukraine in badminton as well as his trainer accompanied by his family. They fled their country at war as best they could and crossed Europe. With a minibus lent by the town of Marquette, the Badminton Wambrechies-Marquette volunteers went to pick them up in Lille (if they knew they had left, they only learned the day before of their arrival) so that they could join their foster homes.
