Gannat. Vichy-Cusset wins the Departmental Interdistricts of badminton. Le Volant club gannatois hosted, at the Portes-Occitanes complex, the last meetings of the Allier interclub badminton championship which brought together, for 10 days, the best formations of 2 e et 3 e divisions of the department.
In these two divisions appeared the clubs of Vichy-Cusset, Gannat, Varennes and Moulins-Avermes-Yzeure with, in 2 e division, the ASPTT Montluçon and Creuzier-le-Vieux clubs, and in 3 e division, the teams of Blachet (Désertines) and Domérat which completed these tables.
Cédric Billard, president, and the members of the Gannatois club did not hide their satisfaction at having presented for the first time in these interclubs, two local teams which discovered the level and the requirements of this competition. And to conclude, “Beyond the particularly disputed matches, this departmental gathering generated a rapprochement and emulation between the clubs, conducive to advancing the level of badminton. All the players competed in skill, endurance and fun in their respective team’s 7 matches”.
Ranking after 10 days. 2 e divisions: 1. Vichy-Cusset; 2. Creuzier-le-Vieux; 3. Gannet; 4. Moulins-Avermes-Yzeure; 5. Varennes; 6. Montlucon. 3 e divisions: 1. Vichy-Cusset; 2. Desertines; 3. Domerate; 4. Moulins-Avermes-Yzeure; 5. Gannet; 6. Varennes.
