The 14th edition of the Raid handi-forts de Besançon returns on May 13, 14 and 15, 2022 with around 50 participants with disabilities and “valid”. If they trained hard to win, the ambition is above all to have fun and raise awareness!

The participants of the 14th Besançon Handi-Forts Raid (Doubs) are preparing to experience a 100% sporting weekend from May 13 to 15, 2022. 28 mixed teams, made up of six disabled and “able-bodied” athletes, will compete in a panel of outdoor events, in the city of Besançon and its surrounding area (video presentation opposite). Abseiling, zip line, archery, cultural and disability awareness events: these three days of competition promise to be breathtaking! This meeting should both allow people with disabilities to discover the practice of sport (article linked below) but also raise awareness through events around Braille, French sign language (LSF) or wheelchair routes.
A solidarity experience
On the starting line, people with mental, psychological, sensory or motor disabilities will stand alongside their teammates, professionals from the medical and social world, representatives from the sports world, institutions and companies. If everyone will have in mind to win, the objective is above all to live an experience “solidarity and inclusiveness honoring Paralympism”, announce the organizers of the event. After thirteen years of existence, the Raid handi-forts is part of the “Terre de Jeux 2024” label addressed to the metropolis of Besançon, which promotes and supports “sports projects with strong societal impacts” in various communities. territories in France. Young people are not left out since a competition is reserved for them on Friday 13 May. 18 other “mixed” teams will compete in the “Raid handi-fort des jeunes”. Practical information
If registrations for this nature raid have been closed since March 31, 2022, it is however possible to attend. A « village » dedicated will be installed in the Chamars park in Besançon, with various additional activities offered: sports events, disability awareness workshops, followed by a closing ceremony from 6 p.m.
