Real Pilar achieved a fundamental victory in Rosario to be a shot away from the top of the Opening Tournament of the First C. The Monarch beat Central Córdoba 1-0 with a goal from Emiliano Tabone 7 minutes into the second half.
The King played better in the initial stage against a blurred Charrúa, since he handled the ball judiciously, had control of the game and deserved the advantage, but again suffered from a lack of forcefulness.
However, at the start of the complement, their scorer scored the winning goal that later, with some moments of anxiety, they managed to sustain against the onslaught of the locals.
A victory that leaves the Monarch as the escort of the contest with 20 points, 1 behind the leader Berazategui, who will visit Midland this Monday night.
Real Pilar played a good first half, with high points from Diego Crego, Miguel López, Santiago Tossi and Lalo Pérez. However, the best of the visitor was in the final quarter hour. At 31′, Crego tried to surprise an advanced Matías Giroldi but the ball fell behind the goal.
In another run by Crego to the right at 42′, he hit a low cross that Tabone was unable to deflect at the far post. While at 44′, the center forward was unable to give power to the header controlled by the goalkeeper.
But Tabone was going to have revenge in the complement and at 7′ he found the goal. Center by Nazareno Fernández, the striker anticipated the defenders and defined against Giroldi for the 1-0.
The need advanced to Central Córdoba, which began to worry the Monarch. The visit showed some defensive weaknesses that put the victory at risk.
Pablo Adasme was key again, avoiding the Uruguayan tie at 26′. First anticipating Tomás Gaitán’s onslaught with his feet and then covering Franco Sarco’s shot with his chest. Although towards the end, Real’s goalkeeper went wrong and Martín Mustachi, from the rebound, almost tied it.
In the last one, José Rodríguez missed the chance to close the game with a header close to the right pipe. Real suffered in the final stage but was left with a key victory that leaves him in the race waiting for Monday’s date.
Now the Monarch will prepare for challenges against direct rivals. First on Friday the 6th at 7pm at home against Deportivo Español (they beat Lamadrid 3-1 and are a shooting guard with 20) and on Tuesday the 10th visiting (possibly at night) Midland.
