“The campaign will not end with the end of Ramadan”

AJN Agency.- The head of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza, Yehie Sinwar, made a speech for the first time since clashes with Israel ended last year in May 2021.

Sinwar warned before the return of images of Israeli policemen in the al-Aqsa Mosque: “These photos cannot be repeated.”

“Whoever made the decision to repeat these images, is the one who with his own hands took the decision to desecrate thousands of Jewish synagogues around the world,” the leader said.

According to Sinwar, damaging Jerusalem or the al-Aqsa Mosque means a regional religious war, whatever the cost. “Our people must prepare for a great battle, if the occupation does not stop its attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque,” he said.

He also referred to the internal political situation in Israel: “I want to talk about the Raam party and Mansour Abbas, you are the security network of the government that decided to attack in the al-Aqsa compound, this is an unforgivable crime. This is a denial of their own religion, their Arabism and their nationality.”

“We prefer not to turn the conflict into a religious one, but if the occupation wants we are ready for the challenge,” said the Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip.

Sinwar urged the factions in Gaza to remain on alert and be ready. “The campaign will not end with the end of Ramadan, it will only start,” he said.

Sinwar said that Hamas would soon lead naval flotillas to the Gaza Strip to break the blockade on the coastal enclave.

Israeli police have arrested Palestinians who last night carried out an attack and killed a security guard at the entrance to the Ariel settlement, Israeli state television (KAN) reported.

Both will be referred for questioning. Weapons, believed to be those used in the attack last night, were seized in the operation.

The 23-year-old security guard was shot dead last night at the entrance to the Ariel settlement by two Palestinians. They killed him at close range. The custodian’s partner saved her life and she had to be treated in a panic.

The custodian protected his partner, who was also his fiancée, with his body, and thanks to that he saved his life.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an operation to find the suspects and seized security cameras in the area. They also set up checkpoints in the area.
