The Unión Deportiva Llanera experienced an authentic afternoon of emotions in Segovia, in a match that was for the Asturians, who wore yellow and blue, a real roller coaster, which ended up being worth the three points, thanks to a prodigious performance under the sticks of Mapisa and a great Vity, who led the team to victory and who maintains the hope of remaining in the category next year. The team coached by José Luis Rodríguez needs to win next weekend at the Pepe Quimarán al Coruxo in a final for permanence. The Llanerenses are one point away from the relegation promotion position, which would prevent them from going down directly and playing a tie to avoid it.
The game could not have started worse for UD Llanera, who saw how Gimnastica Segoviana came out on La Albuera putting one more gear, bottling the Asturian team on their own field of play, seeing them and wanting them to defend the Barça attack. It was a minute of vertigo, which was rewarded with the goal. The central defense of the visiting defense rested on its laurels and Conde, cunningly and agilely, slipped in and after escaping from Mapisa, made it 1-0 in the La Albuera lighthouse, unleashing euphoria in the stands. In this short space of time, the defensive shortcomings of the Asturians were laid bare.
As the minutes went by, José Luis Rodríguez’s men stabilized the game somewhat, not going through as many troubles and, at times, going on the attack and having an approach in set pieces, which did not pose any danger to Carmona’s goal. that he was a mere spectator. On the other hand, when the Sego attacked, it did so with great danger. In the 13th minute Borrego was about to finish off an excellent pass from the left by Szymanoski at the far post. In the 24th minute, the one who was looking for the goal was Conde, but he met a successful Mapisa, who was being the best of Llanera. Almost all the lines were overcome and defensively the team left many gaps in the center of the field, which meant that Pantiga and Pape saw the yellow card in two more than avoidable warnings.
After another phase of truce and good moments for Llanera, combining with a fair amount of criteria, but without depth to create danger on the rival goal. Until, in the last minutes, Sego once again gave a twist to the intensity in the area of three quarters of the field, and this meant that Nanclares had an opportunity, which was again resolved by a successful Mapisa. The best reading of the first part is that Llanera came out alive despite going through certain moments of being overwhelmed by the chances.
After passing through the changing rooms, the Llanera coach changed his team’s tactical approach, going on to play with a 4-4-2 that gave the Asturians more stability. The beginning was not flattering either. In a run by Szymanowski down the left flank, the winger didn’t think twice, and he unleashed a left-footed shot that again forced Mapisa to avoid the 0-2 draw. The game despite this scare was already something very different. Llanera was much more compact and in the end they got the equalizer. Vity picked up a rejection inside the area and beat Carmona.
With the passing of the minutes, the clash was breaking down due to the physical wear and tear of both teams. There was less and less control in the central area of the pitch. La Segoviana went back to look for the avant-garde zone and in the 66th minute they had the 2-1 in a shot by Cidoncha to a pass from Szymanowski, which was disrupted again by the visiting goalkeeper. The game turned into a real heads or tails, and in the end the coin smiled at Llanera. Vity culminated a counter that Borao tried to take out under the sticks, with such bad luck that the ball was introduced into his goal, unleashing the joy of the Llanera fans who traveled to Segovia.
La Segoviana was knocked out and was about to concede the 1-3 against Romaric, who, with everything going for him, sent the ball wide. An action that could have cost dearly, because in the extension Gómez had the tie in his boots, but Donate prevented the ball from entering under the sticks. After this great victory, Llanera will have two finals against Coruxo and Adarve, in which only victory is worth it.
