Rams in trouble in the second league. Against Neptune 2 the Viterbo squad appeared confused and often unable to react to the valid Nettunesi, ending May 1st with two games lost. In race one a good performance by the starter Claudio Magnoni, conceding thirteen hits and three strike outs, certainly not helped by the defense that makes too many mistakes in the decisive moments.
However, Rams tries to keep up, until the fourth inning the score remained 5 to 2 for Neptune, with seven valid scores, two by Giocchini, Alimonti, Rudmar, Ceppari, Senzaquattrini R. and Princi S.
In game two the Viterbesi start well immediately, scoring three points in the first inning and keeping the match balanced until the third inning. Here too many mistakes in defense, which allow the Nettuno team to take the lead and win. However, the boys of Vaselli and Bertollini manage to score eleven total valid, which however were not enough to win.
Good performance by Rudmar, author of three hits, a double and two points beaten at home and by Fagnani with two hits and two points beaten at home. During the week, the people of Viterbo will meet at the “G. Massini ”where they will concentrate on defense, an element of difficulty in this second championship. On May 7, Rams will play at home against Swordfish Messina.
