Al Ahly crushes Sétif, Wydad rushes towards the final

Al Ahly and Wydad Casablanca took a huge option on qualifying for the final of the African Champions League after the first leg semi-finals played on Saturday.

In the shock of this round, Al Ahly left no chance to ES Sétif, corrected 4-0 in Cairo. The nightmare of Algerians has a name: Percy Tau. Author of two goals, including the opener with a header (30e) then the last goal of a close range recovery (90e), the South African striker also delivered two assists! The first for Taher Mohamed (54th), scorer with a header after being denied a goal for offside at the start of the match, the second for Mohamed Sherif, scorer with a nice dive (72nd). After this demonstration, it is difficult to see what could deprive the double title holder of a 3e consecutive final, while the Algerians, reduced to ten from the 35e minute following the expulsion of Karaoui, showed almost nothing.

It also smells very good for Wydad Casablanca, who won 3-1 in Angola on the ground of Petro Atletico. Perfectly launched by an own goal from Tiago Azulao on a free kick from Attiat Allah (16th), Walid Regragui’s men drove the point home with a heavy strike from Yahya Jabrane in the top corner (45th). After being saved by the post against Gleison, the Moroccans even increased the addition by Guy Mbenza after a good job by El Moutaraji (68th). Despite the reduction of Ricardo Job’s score on an uncut free kick (81st), the Angolans, who played the last moments of the match at ten after the expulsion of Willian Soares (90e+1), have almost no more hope and will have to score 3 goals in a week on the return to hope to turn the tide.
