Here is the transcribed letter:

Hola.

Those of you who know me know that I don’t like to talk much, but today I must and I want to.

This is going to be my last week as a professional basketball player. I started playing at school at the age of 6 and left when I was 43. I cannot describe in words what basketball has meant to me, but what I can say is that I have enjoyed it every day. And a lot.

Thanks to all the colleagues I have had for making me enjoy this sport every day, my passion.

Thanks to all my coaches: Pedrosa, Xavi Pastor, Joaquim Costa, Alfred Julbe, Miquel Nolis, Edu Torres, Ricard Casas, Xavi García, Óscar Quintana, Fotis Katsikaris, Neven Spahija, Luis Casimiro, Salva Maldonado, Pedro Martínez, Aíto, Sergio Scariolo, Víctor García, Curro Segura and Moncho Fernández. For demanding me, respecting me and making me a better player. And to all the assistant coaches for collaborating on it.

To the entire coaching staff: physical trainers, physios, doctors, delegates and kit men, for taking such good care of me. And to Marc Guitart for preparing me for more than 17 summers.

To the clubs in which I have played, for treating my family and me so well: CP Joan Marques Casals, Sferic, Penya, Sant Pep, Caprabo Lleida, Bàsquet Manresa, Valencia Basket, Estu, Granca, Betis and Obradoiro.

To all the fans of the teams in which I have played, for how loved you have always made me feel.

Thanks to the arbitration establishment for the respect you have had for me during all these years and for “forgiving” me some other technique.

To the FEB for the calls with the National Team. Thank you for trusting me for the first windows and for making me enjoy an unforgettable week.

To my agents Berenguer and Monico, you are part of my family. Special thanks to you Ernest for always being there, for telling me things as they are and making the void left by your father Jaume more bearable. He was the person who trusted me the most in my possibilities and whom I still miss today.

Thanks to my parents and my brother, for the values you have transmitted to me, the education I received and for all the care and love you have given me. I love you.

Thanks to my children Aina and Marc, for understanding my work and adapting so well to everything that it entails. And because I know that in your own way you are proud of your father and that makes me very happy. don’t change I love you so much!

Thanks to my wife Cristi, the most important person on this journey. For your joy and positivity despite all the changes that meant a greater effort for you. For always being by my side, listening to me and understanding me in the good times, in the not so good ones and when I came home happy and less happy. For being the best travel companion I can have (you still have many years to endure me), but above all for being the best mother our children can have. Without you I would not have had this career, but what is certain is that I would not be the person I am today. And I like the person I am. Tim beautiful.

And thanks to luck. Why luck? Because there are things in life that you cannot choose. You can’t choose your parents, your brother, your children and the person you fall in love with and I didn’t choose, but luckily, I have the best by my side.

To something else butterfly.
