The National Hockey League (NHL) team at the Golden Knights in Vegas has fired head coach Peter Deburu.

A Canadian specialist worked at the club for two and a half years. Both 2019/2020 and 2020/2021. In the 2008 season, the team withdrew from the fight for the Stanley Cup in the third round of the play-offs, while this season, for the first time in the team’s history, the team was out of the play-offs. Significantly, at the end of the season, Vegas was deprived of points by San Jose Sharks, previously run by Deburs.

During his career, the coach has also worked for the Florida Panthers and the New Jersey Devils.

Meanwhile, New York Islanders have appointed Lein Lambert as head coach, making his debut as head coach at the NHL. Previously, the Canadian worked as Beria Troca’s assistant on the Islanders team for four years, before which he also assisted Trocam in the Capitals unit in Washington.

It has already been reported that the New York club has decided to dismiss Troc without the coach serving the last year of the contract. With Troc, the Islanders have played in the third round of the previous two seasons, but have remained out of the playoffs this season.
