Romanian Castle of Corvin will host the European Fair of Castles

The seventh edition of the European Castle Fair will be held on May 27-28 at the famous Romanian castle of Corvin, in the Hunedoara region.

The event will bring together 21 exhibitors, from citadels, palaces and castles to museums and memorial houses. Among the sites in Romania that have confirmed their participation in the fair are the Bran Castle, the Citadel of Alba Iulia, the Citadel of Rasnov, the Citadel of Fagaras and the Palace of Culture in Iasi.

Alongside the event, visitors can watch a series of fights between knights or take lessons in archery and swordsmanship.

Corvin Castle is considered one of the most impressive sites of Gothic and Renaissance architecture in Europe, being placed among the finest in the world. Last year, the castle attracted more than 276,000 tourists, 37% more than in 2020 – the year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
