Rogations in Imola, charity fishing is back to support the missions in Togo and São Bernardo

Dfrom 22 to 29 May next, on the occasion of the Rogations in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Piratello, the traditional missionary charity fishing will return in the courtyard of the bishop’s palace.
To organize the fishing, with many and rich prizes, are the volunteers of the Diocesan missionary center and Aim Croce Coperta, with the fundamental help of the Agesci Imola 4 scout group.
The proceeds will support the Village of Joy, a orphanage in Togo, run by the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of the Agonizing Jesus where a few years ago the scouts spent an unforgettable summer of missionary service, and the works of Sister Daniela Bonello in São Bernardo do Campo. «With the Rogation Fishing this year we will help children in Brazil – explain the organizers -. We will work to help offer a snack throughout the school year to the 120 students enrolled in alternative activities to school hours: judo, computer science and various sports. Sister Daniela Bonello tells us that the monthly snack consisting of a stuffed sandwich, biscuits and fruit juice costs about 100 euros a month. Guaranteeing a good meal means providing these young people with something they don’t always have at home».
As mentioned, the activities of the Village of Joy of Atakpamè in Togo will also be supported, “a splendid orphanage where after-school activities are carried out for the whole neighborhood and where an oratory for all the children in the area has been inaugurated in recent weeks”.
There is no shortage of reasons to do good: «Come fish and win – the organizers invite -. Please help us to help».
