Sports dance: Timothy and Eva from Italy to Belgium for a golden weekend

Seraing your Meuse. The Belgian International Fedcup under the aegis of the Valonese Federation of Sports Dance and the WDSF (World Dance Sport Federation).

Representing Luxembourg, but with an all-Italian heart and 50% also from Lavisan, they participated Timothy Nardelli and Eva Veronese. The two athletes, respectively born in 2008 and 2010, have participated in three Latin American dance competitions, winning in all excellent positions as well as two gold medals. In fact, they competed in the Junior 2 A latin (category 14-15 years) and in the under 16 open latin, competing not only with athletes from Belgium, but with many athletes from other nations, and winning a gold medal in both categories. .

They then faced a race for the first time WDSF international and they did it in the age category 16-18, despite Timothy not yet 14 and Eva just 12. Here the race was much more demanding, but the couple still managed to get on the podium (first place Moldova, second place Italy) and to wear a bronze medal around his neck, with great pride. The competition was attended by a delegation from the Luxembourg Federation of Sports Dance in the person of Mister Guy Simon, who heartily supported the couple and did not fail to congratulate and appreciate the result obtained, in consideration of the international context of the competition. Special thanks should always be given to the coaches who follow the boys: Andrea Rizzo (Team Diablo), Miro Boccaletti and Silvia Padovan (Ritmomisto), Moira Lorenzon (Europa Dance Team).

Sacrifices and satisfactions

Away trips like this from Belgium are for big couples opportunity of growth and personal and sporting confrontation and are also a moment to learn how sports dance is perceived and considered outside national borders. L‘I commit required of children and families, in consideration of travel, missed school days, homework in the most disparate places, costs, is very high, but just as high is the satisfaction to bring home the fruits of a job that even weekly is full of difficulty and commitment, if only for the distance of the two (the dancer is from Venice) and the fact that in addition to being registered with Ritmomisto, they dance for Team Diablo di Molinella , the largest and most important team in the world.

Currently the boys, together with all the other dancers of the Ritmomisto dance school, still have three important commitments before archiving the 2021_22 season: the Star Cup Bologna on 21/22 May, the Cervia International Open Championship at the end of June. and the International Training Camp of Caorle at the end of July, a moment of high sports training.
