The reception for the heroes was grand and grand as expected. It was a place of encouragement and praise for the Korean national team, which has regained the championship cup in 12 years at the World Women’s Team Badminton Championships.

On the 23rd, the Korea Badminton Association held a welcome party with 120 guests to encourage the national team that won the 29th World Women’s Team Badminton Championships at Lotte Hotel in Jamsil.

The event, which started at 1 pm, started by watching a 10-15 minute video. In this tournament, starting with the US match in the preliminary round, and the final match against China, the national team’s six-game winning streak was included, highlighting the meaning of ascending to the top. The joy was double as it was the result of overcoming many obstacles and adversity, and defeating enemies Japan and China in the semifinals and finals.

After watching the video, Kim Taek-gyu, president of the Korea Badminton Association, gave a congratulatory speech. In the video, Ahn Se-young (20, Samsung Life Insurance) and other players injured their knees and elbows and explained the meaning of this victory by praising the process of defending the score by sparing their bodies.

Coach Kim Chung-hoe said, “On the day of departure, the players’ condition did not improve, so I was very worried, but after the victory in the quarterfinals against Japan, the atmosphere improved and I was looking forward to winning. I would like to express my gratitude to the Korean badminton players for their support, both physically and mentally, including the team.”

Kim So-young also said, “I couldn’t believe that moment after winning and I was confused for a few days. I want to share this honor with everyone who has given their support inside and outside the stadium,” he said with a smile.

Meanwhile, the national team prepares for an open sortie with the Indonesian Masters to be held from the 7th of next month.
