The Peruvian Sports Federation of Badminton will dispute the Bolivarians Valledupar 2022 and with bitter news after announcing that he would not have his athletes who managed to win gold, silver and bronze medals at the South American Youth Games that took place in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
Adriano Viale, Sharum Durand, the sisters Rafaela and Fernanda Munar, are the athletes who have been ruled out by the FDPB without giving them any option for classification. For this reason, in order to now be able to access the Sudaremirano Games of Juventus, the Badminton Technical Unit resolved a series of matches so that they can do so by assigning it to the playing fields.
Moreover, that is how the Peruvian team that defended the colors of the white and red team in the city of Argentina was formed. However, for the new Bolivarians, they have indicated in the FDPB that now the athletes should be others who deserve an opportunity to demonstrate their talent.
In sports, the only award they consider is professionalism and dedication that, added to the results, are the key that should open the door to the main international competitions where the name of the country is represented. These characteristics have not only been demonstrated, but also verified by the group of excluded young badminton players, as they point out.
Finally, and in summary, the only thing that has been protested is that athletes with potential can achieve their qualification for Valledupar 2022 by demonstrating on the field and due to some favoritism. Moreover, the medalists have been demanding that the Peruvian Sports Institute take action on the matter and carry out an investigation of the FDPB board headed by Mr. Gonzalo Castillo Guzmán.
