There are many sports that are played at night, such as professional baseball, soccer, and basketball. After the competition, the reporters at the site will cover and write while being chased by the deadline. It’s the desk’s job to check the manuscript.

About a quarter of a century ago when I became a sports reporter, I didn’t like night game coverage because I didn’t have time to spare. He used a word processor for his writing at the time, not a personal computer. The internet was not widespread, and there was no know-how for interviewing night games.

The first full-scale night game coverage was in away soccer, the Japan Football League (JFL), overtime, and even a penalty shootout. I took a taxi to write and send the manuscript, and when I arrived at my hotel in a hurry, the deadline was almost over. I was crying want.

In comparison, the work of field reporters today looks smart. Shortly after the competition, I received a phone call saying “I sent the manuscript.” He is impressed with his smart work.

The main manuscript sent is signed. Each reporter has a different personality. I would like to support each reporter so that the number of fans will increase.
