The experienced coach Eduardo Freston spoke hand in hand with Democracia and left concepts about his current situation in Cavulwho is doing a great campaign in the AJB.
The cast of Lincoln is second, playing some flashy basketball, and Papón explained his reasons: “Cavul has been fighting for quite a few championships at the top, I think because there is a base of Lincoln players that allows us a marked way of playing. In addition, the reinforcements adapt. And we train a lot, work is key. So the players can reflect the type of basketball that I like. We want to always be competitive and protagonists”.
To get to fight all the championships you need good players, logically. And “Papón” talks about his squad: “I am satisfied with the squad, I like a long team. I also give a lot of space to the guys who come from below and that makes me happy. I’m happy because the boys like to train and enjoy basketball. The priority is to keep a line of what I want as a coach. We try to be very professional within the amateurism of the competition”.
Finally, the coach, who has several championships under his belt, underlined the objectives they have as a club and the goal they set for themselves: “The objective is always the same every season: to be competitive. You have to play the best possible role and you have to show an identity in each game. Always trying to make a leap in quality, climb a step in the level of play. The long-term idea is to play the Federal Tournament, that’s why we are adding experience. We have bad news, which is that many young people with good performance are going to study us and we cannot keep them to play the Prefederal now, but we will try to put together the best possible. Cavul deserves to play Federal, because he has been champion of Junín, he shows seriousness, good work in training, accompaniment of the people and he always fights for the first places. We have to fight for that promotion and we will work for that”.
It will not be easy to ascend for Freston and Cavul, but surely in accordance with the board of directors, they will work to add quality reinforcements and dream. As for the AJB tournament, the cast of the neighboring town is silently accumulating games won and with the power of the local team, they will seek to give the big blow of the first semester.
