This weekend a new edition of the Popular Badminton Tournament will be held at the Fuente del Rey Pavilion in the capital.
After two years suspended as a result of the coronavirus, the eighteenth celebration of the test has had to wait until this year with a more than acceptable participation by fans of this sport.
Although there has been a slight decrease in the number of registered players, the hundred players will lead to the celebration of more than 200 games during the day on Saturday and the morning on Sunday.
The organization will place ten playing courts and in all the matches the arbitration and the marker functions will be carried out by a member of the organization.
Lovers of this sport can follow the competition starting at ten o’clock this coming Saturday, being able to watch matches of the absolute category, sub17 and sub13 in both the individual and doubles modalities.
The finals will be played mid-morning on Sunday, with the trophies being handed out moments after the end of the last match.
All players will receive a bag with different products as well as a commemorative tournament shirt. The winners of each category and modality will receive a trophy and a gift voucher to exchange for sports equipment.
